AND, I don't believe someone with your outlook could be a Jehovah's Witness, otherwise you will have to convert me! I downloaded your 50Mb test animation but my clean install XP SP2 didn't have the right codec for Media Player. Could you tell me what is the AVI - is it DivX. I haven't yet fully reinstalled, so I thought I would ask. As for what I do, can you imagine a scalable Principal Component Analysis kernel written over a period of sixty years (25 by me) including the last 8 years as a redevelopment in VB which added 100,000 lines of user interface. I ignore 99.999% of possible applications, though over the years I have tested my program in horse racing, the futures market, psychology, script writing, etc., etc. Needless to say, I don't find it easy to bring outside data into my system without getting involved with the politics of information. So, what I have steered toward over the last few years is building applications that suit my own needs and then designing the templates to choose the development path based on that information being corralled in my own format, right from the get go. For example, 18 months ago I decided to fulfill a longtime ambition to hear music produced from the shape of a thought. I got DirectMusic playing drumbeats according to the acyclic Hamiltonian graph produced by my software objects, but it sounded terrible and jarred with the Winamp tracks playing in the background. So I worked and worked until my program could learn the beats, grooves, motifs, and genres of my whole music collection. The result I like because my beats now enhance my MP3 collection instead of being discordant; - well you know music. Then I decided I would introduce a profiler and scheduler and build it around my AI engine so that it could learn what it reads to me and try to beat me at playing chess as well as learning about what I do and when I should fall asleep and eat and take drugs, etc. In other words a grid computing AI health machine for myself. I am not being selfish with my development because I pace myself and think I am on track to assimilate whatever comes next. That next "now" is the need to create better animations to go with my DirectX graphics. I am working with lots of clean installs to iron out some installation bugs. Mine is a complex system that needs a lot of special situational help to gradually turn on the options to ensure that an installation is built to perfection. Just to be able to see a working result requires installing a lot of extra software like special speech readers and BPM trackers and players because it currently is the collection of the whole rather than any of the parts which is mystifying. Consequently I found some bugs in the latest download of my software and if you were to want to try it I would ask you to wait for my real time installation assistance. This requires getting the Winamp AVS settings just right so that its graphics sent to the frame buffer will come in behind all my objects. When I know you have everything working I would be happy to explain a further step toward the "other world" - something like the graphic screens out of the movie "Minority Report". I cannot send a screenshot of the latest because it is all frame buffer related and cannot be captured easily, so right now the only way to see the effect is to get an installation working just right. Ihug is not my property. It is only my ISP although I do have a lifetime premier internet account there. I suppose you could say that I have a caveat over the name, which didn't brass off the new owners of the ISP. Where do you live now? Jim PS. PPS. The file I uploaded crashed on testing and I had to delete it. Something to do with a late change to make the data user specific and trying to get it into a consolidated database instead of loose XML text files. So Murphy got me, but I am sending this now anyway and if you look at my site and are still interested I'll let you know when the bug is out. The bug is only in the compiled version not running in the IDE so its a hard on one causing the program not to start. Probably an .ini file. Here we believe that Yahoo Messenger is for Yahoo Yahoos ;) I think that you were treated like a failure and stupid that will never achieve anything, so to prove to others and yourself, you created it. No, I was a big time whistle blower against a series of corrupt mafia clients that were bootlegging my successful world-class manufacturing software that I made for Fortune 50 type companies. After that experience and getting to know William Gibson at CISR in downtown Vancouver ten years ago, I went into a quest to break the bonds of the grim reaper holding the elephantine rope surrounding our species. I am an UPLOADER because I hated being successful which always made me too quickly run out of challenges. You were close but out by only a change of sign. Now, let me tell you anegdotes: 1. An old man was dying and his friend asked him why he cluttered his house with too many expensive things. The dying man answered: so that people think I am rich! His friend exclaimed: you ARE rich! You are multimillionaire! get it? The guy just didn't feel rich. 2. In India, they tie up little elephants with ropes. The little ones fight like hell but can't break the rope. They GIVE up. When they are adult huge elephants they are still tied up with the same ropes. Do you know why? They don't BELIEVE they can break them, they never TRY... Jim PS. I just built for you a pre-registered install file called ingridx5106.zip which is link to the following URl. you will have to join my yahoo group because I don't have enough space at my ISP for everything and you will need to check with me that you have all the prerequisites. Because it is pre-registered the installation does not setup the full range of defaults. So please ask for help, ok? http://ingridx.dynu.net/ingridx/ Alternatively, if you have Yahoo Messenger you can find my nickname of "Jimekus" and after we chat you can get the 5Mb file straight from my PC right now. I figured that you talked about Church of Dollar :) But this is not the only site that I have. I also have physics site www.wiser.tv/physics and there is many articles, that I will put in animated versions once I get money from the cartoon. I searched for the term "dollar christ" and found your site. He moves in mysterious ways... because my site doesn't contain the word "christ" and the "dollar" word is SOOO popular! So it can't be a coincidence... especially that I am Jehovah's Witness and had "some experiences" with the other world... I proceeded to read your writings and study the nature of your work. I did this because I produce a 3D AI story engine that is looking for a billboarding application, Sounds interesting, can you elaborate? but I see you use 3D Studio Max. I use Maya 6. If I wanted to use studio Max, I would have 50 animators working for me already, lol. Because I'm originally from Poland and they all work in Max. However, Maya is the best program so far, and Disney and Pixar use it for a reason. Creating things in Max would cause problems later on because it wouldn't be EFFICIENT... I work in raw DirectX and so far have attached the basic graphics and special music effects to my AI primitive. yeah? Give me a link to download it. I would like to see. Is the website ihug.co.nz yours? You must be living off it???
